Wow! What a weekend!

We decided to take a long weekend and traveled up to Pennsylvania. We stayed in Harrisburg, traveled to Hershey and Landcaster. It was a great relaxing break, enjoy the MANY photos!

The Hershey Factory tour was a lot of fun, and it was FREE!

We sported our Washington Nationals hats!

There is a little ride that takes you through how they make the chocolate. Mason
was amazed. It was full of music, dancing creatures, and lights. He couldn't
ask for anything more. As you can tell from the pictures there
was a no blinking rule on the ride.

MMMmmm...chocolate.... don't they look like HUGE Rolos?!

A 5 pound chocolate bar!

An enormous Hershey kiss, full of mini kisses!

Michael wanted to go to a car museum. It was pretty cool. We even
were able to see an old Jeep. Somethings still stay the same, the lights and grill...

Off to the zoo. We are spoiled having the National Zoo here so close. This zoo was very different and MUCH smaller. They had a lot of animals that we call normal here. Like a raven, owls, deer, turkeys.

Mason said, "Get me out of my cage! I'll lick my way out!"

Off to Lancaster to see the Pennsylvania Dutch! We toured an Amish farmhouse and farm. Mason loved the goats and the rooster.

We took a buggy ride and learned a lot about the Amish, Mennonites, and Brethren. It's all so interesting to me.

This is a one room schoolhouse. The teacher has about 30 students that range in age from grades 1-8 and she teaches them all at once. As a future teacher I find this amazing and I would love to be a fly on the wall. I could learn so much from an Amish school teacher!

Mason is soooo happy, he got a new big boy car seat!

We came home on Saint Patrick's Day.

Mason was very happy to come home to a present from Great Aunt Jenny!
